1 dead, 1 hurt after landslide in Benguet

A senior citizen was killed and her 10-year-old grandchild was hurt after a landslide in Buguias, Benguet on Sunday, according to a report of Mark Makalalad on Dobol B sa News TV on Monday.

Benguet Provincial Police Office head Police Colonel Lyndon Mencio identified the victim as Gloria Rolando Langawan, 72.

Heavy rains on Sunday night softened the soil leading to the landslide in Barangay Bangao around 11 p.m, Mencio said.

The child was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
