Angat Dam water level slightly goes up —PAGASA
Angat Dam’s water elevation level rose to 166.02 meters on Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
According to a report on GMA News' 24 Oras, the latest measured water level is 0.57 meters higher than Thursday's level which was at 165.45 meters.
This is above the critical mark of 160 meters, but still below Angat's 210-meter normal high water level.
The state weather bureau said the slight increase in the dam's water level was due to rains brought by the low pressure area and southwest monsoon.
Meanwhile, water at Bustos Dam, which catches water released by Angat Dam for irrigation, was above the overflow level of 17.50 meters, registering at 17.56 meters as of Friday noon.
The overflow did not cause flooding in the area and nearby communities. —LDF, GMA News
