Ifugao vice mayor turns up; family problems cited for disappearance

Vice Mayor Fernando Gapuz of Tinoc, Ifugao has surfaced after he went missing for several days and is now with his family.

In an interview with Super Radyo dzBB, Ifugao Police Provincial Office director Colonel Romeo Mangwag said Gapuz, 56, was found by his family and some police who helped trace him.

The police official said the family of Gapuz has asked for privacy and has not yet talked to the police.

"Sa ngayon, hindi pa siya makasalita, abala sila, iyong emosyon ba na nagkita-kita sila, gusto pa nila ng privacy," he said.

The family does not see the need to file a case against any person involved in Gapuz's disappearance.

He said the vice mayor is currently undergoing a medical check-up.

Gapuz , 56, has been reported missing since Friday.  He reportedly left his house in Barangay Impugong for a meeting, but did not return that day. —LDF, GMA News
