Boracay Island residents find dead green sea turtle washed ashore

Residents on world-famous Boracay Island resort found on Saturday a decomposing carcass of a juvenile green sea turtle.

Environment authorities said the turtle's carapace was marked with severe injuries that appear to be from a boat strike.

DENR-Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO)-Boracay, together with police and disaster response personnel, disposed of the turtle. —LBG, GMA News
