Lucky AUV driver, son survive NLEX bus crash with minor injuries

During Friday night's bus crash along the North Luzon Expressway in which eight victims died, the Buenasher Transport bus not only tipped over, but it also crashed into an Asian utility vehicle being driven by Marvin Joseph Giron.

Giron, his seven-year-old son, and six other AUV passengers, among them , were on their way home to Cavite, having just come from Malolos, when the Buenasher bus crashed into them.

"Actually, yung isang anak ko, natutulog dun sa likod ng Crosswind," recounted  Giron. "So, sa lakas ng impact napalipat siya dun sa middle seat. So, eh, tapos yung side niya yung binangga talaga so thankfully, [walang nasaktan ng malubha.]"

Giron and his son were taken to a Caloocan City hospital and were treated for minor injuries to their feet. They were released soon after.

Aside from the fatalities, 10 victims were also injured in the bus crash.

All of the injured were taken either to the MCU Hospital or the Valenzuela General Hospital. — DVM, GMA News
