Reelectionist mayor, running mate survive ambush in CamSur

A re-electionist mayor in Camarines Sur, his running mate and his wife survived an ambush on their vehicle early Monday morning.

Garchitorena Mayor Nelson Bueza, his wife Yolly, and his running mate were in an SUV when unidentified gunmen opened fire on the vehicle past 1 a.m. Monday morning.

According to a report on Balitanghali by Mariz Umali, none of the passengers were harmed in the incident.

The mayor said he saw four men in front of their vehicle before the shooting.
