Explosion hits Davao City Police Office

An explosion hit the Davao City Police Office on Black Saturday just before noon.

In a tweet, Super Radyo DZBB reported that the incident happened at 11:30 a.m. inside the Explosive Ordnance Division (EOD) office of the station.

Initial investigation showed that no one was hurt in the blast.

Authorities said the stored explosives in the stockroom may have exploded due to the hot temperature, according to a report on GMA News TV's Balitanghali on Sunday. —Jamil Santos/KG, GMA News
