Devotees start to flock the National Shrine and Parish of Divine Mercy in
Marilao, Bulacan, on Holy Wednesday for Lenten activities.

Interviewed on Unang Balita, Fr. Ulyses Reyes said the Parish already added Masses this Holy Week as they expect the number of devotees to increase in the coming days.

"Ang unang naging paghahanda namin, nagkaroon kami ng additional Masses this Holy Week. Kagaya po ngayon mula kamakalawa, meron na tayong dalawang misa sa umaga tapos 'yung the usual Mass sa hapon," Reyes, the assistant parish priest, said.

"At the same time, inayos din po ng traffic management ng Marilao na talagang meron tayong one way na inaasahan na gagawin sa ating kalye," he added.

The parish houses a Grotto with a miraculous water, which is believed to heal those who are sick.

Devotees who visit the Parish will also see the 100-foot statue of the Divine Mercy as well as the Little Poland Museum, which is a replica of the residence of Pope John Paul II.

The Parish also has life-size Stations of the Cross for Catholic visitors. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KBK, GMA News
