Candidate slaps local election officer in Camiling, Tarlac

A candidate for board member in Tarlac is facing a complaint after he allegedly slapped an election officer in Camiling town.

According to a report on Unang Hirit, candidate Marty Franz Toralba slapped election officer Teddy Mariano.

Toralba said Mariano was not fair in implementing the Commission on Election's rules on illegal campaign posters.

He claimed that only his tarpaulins were being removed  and that the Comelec in Camiling erased his name that was painted on the fence of a supporter's residence.

The provincial election supervisor countered that the Comelec in Tarlac removed all illegal campaign materials.

Such material are those that exceed the required size or those posted outside common poster areas.

Mariano has been replaced as election officer.  —NB, GMA News
