Baguio City ready for El Niño with its rain-harvesting facility


With its rain-harvesting facility, Baguio City can rest assured of enough water supply amid the dry spell effecting several provinces in the country.

GMA News TV's News To Go reported Wednesday that the local government's two-hectare rain-harvesting facility, nestled on Mount Sto. Tomas, can hold up to seven million gallons of water.

Local officials were quoted as saying in the report that the city's forest conservation program has contributed much in efforts to maintain an enough supply of water in the city.

Still, the Baguio Water District has continued to remind residents to conserve water. —LBG, GMA News
