Leyte school prohibits mobile gaming inside campus

A school in Leyte province has banned playing of mobile games inside campus to promote physical activities and to develop social skills among students, Super Radyo dzBB reported on Sunday.

Instead of playing mobile games in their phones, the students play Pinoy traditional games like "piko" and board games.

Friendly relationships among students have been enhanced and students' grades also improved since the implementation of the policy, GMA News' Cesar Apolinario reported Saturday on State of the Nation, quoting a school official.

“It’s such a wonderful thing to see na mabalik sila sa physical games or even talking to one another, building interpersonal relationship,” Doane Schools Pastor Administrator Joshua Caleb Hocson said.

“Nafo-force sila to go the library to study, to have their reviews especially sa mga vacant time nila,” Hocson added. —Joviland Rita/LBG, GMA News
