Cainta fire affects 800 families

Sunday night fire in Rizal's Cainta town razed or damaged 300 homes, and affected 800 families.

According to a Super Radyo dzBB report, the fire started at around 5 p.m., reached Task Force Alpha, before being declared under control at 8:18 p.m.

However, the fire had yet to be completely put out as of posting time, and fire's cause had yet to be determined.

Assistant Regional Director for Operations of the Bureau of Fire Protection Superintendent Antonio Sobejana meanwhile estimated that the fire caused P6 million in property damage. — Dona Magsino/DVM, GMA News
