30 bodies recovered from Sagnay landslide area in CamSur
At least 30 bodies have been retrieved from a landslide-hit area in Sagñay, Camarines Sur as of Wednesday.
According to an update on GMA News TV program "Balita Pilipinas Ngayon," five victims have been laid to rest on while the bodies of 13 others, which have yet to be claimed by their families, lay at the covered court in Barangay Patitinan.
Several deadly landslides occurred throughout the Bicol region over the weekend during the onslaught of Tropical Depression Usman.
The entire Camarines Sur province has been placed under state of calamity due to damage.
Sagñay's Municipal Risk Reduction and Management Office said the landslide that affected 68 hectares of the area was the biggest to hit the town. —Margaret Claire Layug/NB, GMA News
