Landslide leaves 3 people dead in Labo, Camarines Norte

Three people have been reported killed in a landslide that occurred in Camarines Norte on Saturday night.

Local disaster response authorities reported that the landslide struck Barangay Macogon of Labo town, amid heavy rains from cyclone Usman.

On the other hand, several areas in the province were flooded, including some portions of the Maharlika Highway that were rendered impassable, especially near the province's entry and exit points.

Also, several landslide incidents were reported along major roads in the province.

Public works personnel have been deployed for clearing operations, local authorities said, adding that residents affected by floods and landslides are still being served in evacuation centers in the towns of Labo and Daet. 

Moreover, several stranded passenger and motorists are stuck in terminals while waiting for the floods to subside. —LBG/KG, GMA News
