Devotees visit Saint Padre Pio's incorrupt heart relic in Davao City
Catholic devotees flocked to the San Pedro Cathedral in Davao City to visit and venerate Saint Padre Pio's incorrupt heart relic.
Marisol Abdurahman reported on GMA News TV's Balita Pilipinas Ngayon, 67-year-old Danilo Callao, suffered from a stroke, said he traveled to Davao city from Tagum City, Davao del Norte just to venerate relic.
Callao said he was praying for his recovery.
Other religious devotees cried due to unexplainable joy after they touching the glass reliquary that holds the intact heart relic of Saint Padre Pio.
The relic will remain in Davao City until Wednesday next week.
Saint Padre Pio was known as a popular confessor and for the gift of stigmata or the wounds similar to that of Jesus Christ.
He died on 1968 and was canonized a saint by Saint Pope John Paul the Second on 2002. — Dona Magsino/BAP, GMA News
