3 more Bacoor inmates recovered — police
Three more of the 23 escapees who bolted from the Bacoor City Custodial Center last week have been recovered, police said Sunday.
According to Police Regional Office-IV spokesperson Chitadel Gaoiran, inmates Romeo Cabral, Frederick Salondro, and Divinagracia Dellon have been captured, bringing the total number of recovered escapees to 14.
Nine are still the subject of a manhunt.
Earlier in the day, inmates Ferc Leo Melendrez and Norberto Hidalgo, both facing robbery charges, were nabbed by police in Meycauayan, Bulacan and Cavite City, respectively.
The other recovered escapees have been identified as Donato Luna, Leomar Prodon, Junjie Thomas Moog, Aryol Capili, Jonathan Narag, Gerald Lintan, Tristan Lance Ocupe, Jayjay Ruiz, and Dennis Baluban.
On Friday afternoon, 23 inmates, most of them facing drug charges, escaped from the detention center as a guard attempted to return a prisoner to a cell.
According to Bacoor Police chief Superintendent Vicente Cabatingan, the prisoners will face charges anew for escaping. — Anna Felicia Bajo/BM, GMA News
