Kin of Trece Martires vice mayor Lubigan believe killers were experts
Relatives of slain Trece Martires City Vice Mayor Alex Lubigan believe that those who killed him were experts.
"We believe na planned talaga din siya kasi and also aside sa plano nga siya, naniniwala kami na sanay ang gumawa," Kristine Lucero Lubigan, the vice mayor's sister, said in a report by Bam Alegre on Unang Balita on Monday.
"Even the driver na namatay, si Manong Mulong, headshot din 'yung nag-cause sa kanya. 'Yung isang security, slightly sa may head area din siya tinamaan," she added.
Lubigan was ambushed before 3 p.m. last Saturday, the third local official to be killed in one week after Tanauan City Mayor Antonio Halili and General Tinio, Nueva Ecija Mayor Ferdinand Bote.
The vice mayor's driver, Romulo Guillemer, died in the ambush attack.

According to Kristine, the doctor who did the autopsy on Lubigan said the vice mayor had four gunshot wounds—two on the arms when he apparently tried to shield himself from the rain of bullets, one on the chin, and one to the head. One of the bullets that hit his arm made a reentry and hit Lubigan's lungs and arteries.
Lubigan's family thanked those who extended condolences.
They also called on the police to arrest at the soonest possible time the suspects behind the crime.
Philippine National Police chief Director General Oscar Albayalde on Sunday offered his condolences to the family and promised a thorough investigation.
"We in the PNP are committed in getting to the bottom of this and have already tasked our special investigation task groups on the ground to conduct a thorough investigation. We will keep you posted as soon as developments arise," he said.
Lubigan is the eldest of seven siblings. He was supposed to celebrate his birthday on Wednesday.
The family said the interment may be held on Sunday but they are still awaiting the arrival of a sibling from the US. —KG, GMA News
