Kennon Road closed after boulder hits SUV

Kennon Road has been closed to motorists after a boulder fell on an SUV on Sunday.

According to Tina Panganiban-Perez's report on "24 Oras", a checkpoint has been set up to advise motorists going up to Baguio City of the road closure.

"Ang Kennon po ay temporarily closed until further notice dahil po meron pang threats of rockfall and and landslide due to the weather condition," said Mary Jennifer Juezan, public information officer of the Department of Public Works and Highways in the Cordillera Administrative Region.

A pay loader was needed to remove the heavy rock that almost flattened the SUV.

The four passengers of the SUV, including two children, suffered injuries. —NB, GMA News
