Environment police deployed in Cabuyao, Laguna to keep garbage off streets, canals

Cabuyao, Laguna has deployed new environment crusaders in the form of "environmental police masipag" or "e-pol" tasked to help prevent flooding by keeping the streets and drainage litter-free.

A report on Unang Balita said the e-pols are employed by the local government, and like regular employees receive remuneration, including benefits.

Despite the environmental police force, the local government urged residents to do their part and help in maintaning cleanlinees in their respective communities.

Laguna was among the provinces earlier covered by PAGASA's yellow rainfall warning, where flooding and widespread rainshowers caused by sever tropical storm Domeng were expected. — MDM, GMA News
