3 people killed in Quezon province road crash

Three people were killed in a road incident involving a motorbike in Macalelon town in Quezon province.

An initial police report said that a speeding motorcycle hit two pedestrians crossing the street in Barangay Taguin at about 11 p.m. on Monday.

Among the three killed in the incident is the rider identified as Medardo Valdez, 21.

The victims were rushed to a hospital in Gumaca town, but they succumbed to their injuries.

Meanwhile, 17-year-old Lolito Quintana, Valdez's companion, is in critical condition. 

Authorities said that Valdez and  Quintana came from the drinking spree and was heading home during the incident at a dark portion of the street in Taguin. —Peewee Bacuño/LBG, GMA News
