Motorcyclist, passenger drown after crashing into Sagay City river

A motorcyclist and his backrider drowned in Sagay City, Negros Occidental on Friday after their motorbike fell into a river.

According to a report on GMA 7 news program "24 Oras Weekend" on Sunday, Rona Beleganio and Clodualdo Abesamis ended up in the river after they swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle.

Local authorities found it difficult to retrieve the victims' bodies because the river was rocky and its waters were murky. — Margaret Claire Layug/DVM/KVD, GMA News
