Child in Cebu escalator accident now out of the hospital

The three-year-old child, who was injured after his hand got stuck in an escalator in Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu, is already out of the hospital.

According to a "24 Oras" report on Thursday, the kid got several stitches on his hand because of the wounds he suffered.

The report said the child and the mother took the escalator when the child held one of its "steps."

Mall staff immediately responded to the incident.

Authorities said investigation is ongoing while they are waiting if the family of the victim will file complaints about the incident. —NB, GMA News
