Almost 5,000 tilapia affected in fish kill in Lake Sebu

A fish kill occurred in Lake Sebu, Cotabato, affecting almost 5,000 kilos of tilapia, a report on Unang Balita on Thursday said.

According to a lake warden, overloading or overpopulation in some fish cages may have led to the fish kill.

Authorities and fish cage operators are set to discuss the regulation of placing fish cages in the lake, the report said.

This is to prevent another incident of fish kill. —KG, GMA News
