Three Chinese inmates stabbed to death inside Davao del Norte prison

Three Chinese prisoners at the Davao Prison and Penal Farm were stabbed to death by Filipino inmates over the weekend, GMA News' "24 Oras" reported on Monday.

Chu Kin Tung, alias Tony Lim; Li Lan Yan, alias Jackson Li; and Wong Men Pin, alias Wang Ming Ping; were killed before they could be transferred to maximum security cells at the penal colony.

The three victims reportedly yielded a cellular phone and other banned items during a recent Oplan Galugad operation.

The Chinese inmates reportedly accused the two Filipino prisoners of reporting their alleged illegal activities to the authorities.

The two suspects admitted that they have been at odds with the three Chinese inmates due to alleged drug transactions inside the prison.

Visiting privileges have been suspended pending investigation of the slays. —NB, GMA News
