Nueva Ecija barangay infested with flies
A barangay in the town of General Mamerto Natividad, Nueva Ecija is currently infested by flies, reportedly due to a nearby unsanitary poultry farm.
According to a report on GMA's "24 Oras," the fly infestation in Brgy. Poblacion may be caused by the operations of G3 Poultry, which supposedly does not have the necessary permits to operate.
Due to the situation, classes in the area have already been canceled, while children have gotten sick.
"Pagka ganitong paparami na, hindi na po kayang tiisin ng mga bata eh," REH Montessori School Registrar Fe Sanchez said, noting that the incident has also caused a drop in the school's enrollment.
The local health office ordered the temporary stop of the poultry farm's operations.
GMA News has sought comment from G3 Poultry.
