Retired flight attendant killed in Teresa, Rizal

A retired flight attendant on Sunday was found killed with a gunshot wound in her head in her house in Teresa, Rizal, a report on Unang Balita by GMA News' Isay Reyes on Monday said.

The body of Rosalie Garcia, 53, was discovered by her sibling in the victim's bedroom in Brgy. May-Iba.

PO3 Rene Flohimon, investigator from the Teresa Philippine National Police, said the victim may have struggled against her attacker.

The victim's sibling said they were supposed to have lunch that day. However, when Garcia did not show up, she went to the latter's house and found the body around 2 p.m.

She added that no one was opening the gate for her when she arrived. She also noticed then that a window was open.

The victim has been reportedly living alone for almost seven years. She used to be a flight attendant for an international airline.

Two fired bullets were found inside the victim's room but police have yet to determine the type of gun used.

Initial investigation showed neighbors heard a loud sound coming from the victim's house, but that they thought something got broken.

Police are investigating the robbery angle in this incident even if only the victim's two cellphones were taken. —KG, GMA News
