Baguio streets burst into colors at Panagbenga’s grand dance parade

The heart of Baguio City burst into colors as dancers sway in unison with the happy festival music that pervaded the chilly air of the Philippines' summer capital on Saturday.

Scheduled barely a week before the culmination of the month-long Panagbenga Festival, the Grand Street Dancing Parade competition took place on the road stretch ranging Panagbenga Park-Session Road-Magsaysay Avenue-Harrison Road-Athletic Bowl.

Panagbenga is a Kankanaey term for the season of blooming. Started in 1992, the annual festival has now become a tradition in the city of pines, drawing local and foreign tourists. — with Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LBG, GMA News
