Bikes, motorbikes, tricycles banned in some parts of Baguio

Bicycles, motorcycles, tricycles and scooters have been banned along major roads in Baguio City, a report on Unang Balita on Thursday said.

Mayor Mauricio Domogan issued a memorandum banning the said vehicles.

The ban, however, does not cover bicycles for rent at Burnham Park.

Netizens and bicycle enthusiasts opposed the memorandum, saying these vehicles do not contribute to traffic and air pollution.

A 1960 ordinance bans bicycles from all roads in Baguio City, except in Burnham Park. —KG, GMA News
