No street parties for restos in route of Sinulog Festival parade —organizers
No permits will be given for street parties related to the Sinulog Festival, the organizers announced on Wednesday.
In a list of reminders for the festival, the Sinulog Foundation, Inc. said that establishments on the route of the parade from January 15 to January 17 will not be granted any permits for parties outside their premises.
Events that will take place between January 8 to 14 will need traffic and safety arrangements in order to obtain permits from the Sinulog Foundation and from the Cebu City Hall.
The Sinulog festival is an annual religious festival held in honor of the image of Santo Niño held every January.

Restaurants on the route of the parade are also prohibited from selling liquor and only official Sinulog event banners are allowed to be on display, while Osmena Blvd. and Mango Avenue roads will remain closed even after the parade's end on Jan. 17.
The list of reminders didn't contain an explanation for the prohibitions but the last Sinulog Festival was marred by photos of apparently drunk young adults who passed put on the streets.
