Power interuption in Negros Occidental areas early Tuesday – NGCP

Negros Occidental areas serviced by the Northern Negros Electric Cooperative (NONECO) will experience a power interruption from 5 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines announced.

The NGCP explained that the service interuption is due to the emergency shutdown of the 138-kilovolt Bacolod-Cadiz line, affecting NONECO's 69-kilovolt Cadiz-VMC, Cadiz-Tinampa-an, and Cadiz-San Carlos lines.

The Bacolod-Cadiz-line shutdown would provide an NGCP contractor the opportunity to retrieve a traction machine stuck on the line during repair work. — Joel Locsin/DVM, GMA News
