LOOK: Heavy rain floods parts of highway, subdivision in Davao City

Heavy rain since late Monday night brought floods to parts of a subdivision and a highway in Davao City.

 

Photos by GMA Southern Mindanao's Helen Quiñanola showed parts of Gallera de Oro subdivision and the highway in Puan flooded before dawn Tuesday.

 

Residents in the subdivision had to wade through ankle-deep water early Tuesday.

 

Also, parts of the highway were still flooded, with a motorcycle rider having to keep his balance.

 

The floods reached up to the half-tire level of a multi-cab.

 

Monday night's rain started at about 11 p.m., though the floods began to subside Tuesday morning.

 

For Tuesday, state weather agency PAGASA warned of possible thunderstorms over the country in the afternoon or evening. —Joel Locsin/KG, GMA News
