LOOK: Fire hits commercial building in Cagayan de Oro

A fire of undetermined origin hit a commercial building in Cagayan de Oro City on Wednesday morning.

The fire started on the third floor of the building at the corner of Yacapin and Daumar Streets, GMA Northern Mindanao's Jeik Compo reported.

Photos posted by GMA Northern Mindanao's Compo showed flames visible from the upper floors of the building.

A video she posted showed firefighters training hoses on the building.


Residents moved liquefied petroleum gas tanks away from the area.

Damage to property was initially estimated at P500,000. Arson investigators are determining what caused the fire.  —Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
