800k visitors expected at Dagupan Bangus Festival


Some 800,000 visitors are expected to join in the fun at the 2015 Bangus Festival in Dagupan City this April.

A festival committee is now ironing out the programs for the festival, GMA Dagupan's Janette Fernandez reported Wednesday on "Primera Balita."

 

Activities scheduled so far include a mobile passport processing by the Department of Foreign Affairs and performances by the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra.

Festivities start with the festival's opening on April 6, highlighted by a trade fair and food strip.

Another highlight is the bangus rodeo on April 24. Other activities include the Festivals of the North on April 26,

Meanwhile, a Kapuso Night will be held along with the Bangusan street party on April 30.

Organizers said they are tagging the event as the "happiest fish fest ever," with up to 800,000 visitors, the GMA Dagupan report said. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
