Abra town’s roads readied for Holy Week processions

Government engineers in Bangued town in Abra have started repairing some roads in time for the coming Holy Week.

The roads to be repaired are part of the routes of processions to be held in the town, GMA Ilocos reported.

Personnel from the town engineer's office started cementing some rough patches of the roads, the report said.

"Lahat ng processional road natin ay maayos para mas maayos ang prusisyon sa Semana Santa," said municipal engineer Ricardo Purugganan Jr.

About three kilometers of road will be used in the processions.

Meanwhile, residents have also set up huts where the procession will pass.

The procession is to start on Holy Tuesday. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
