NDRRMC releases flood advisories in 9 regions


The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) has flood advisories for areas near rivers and tributaries in nine regions in Luzon, Visayas, and Midanao.

According to an NDRRMC advisory releasd Sunday evening, p
eople living near mountain slopes and in low-lying areas near the watercourses are advised by NDRRMC to remain alert. 
 
Region IV-A(CALABARZON) - moderate to heavy rains: 
 
Quezon - Upper Umiray, Lower Bolbok (Lawaya), Malaking Ilog, Iyam, Macalelon, Catanauan, Silongin Lagda, Pagsanjan, Yabahaan, Bigol, Guinhalinan, Vinas, Calauag, Pandanan, Sta. Lucia, Lugan, Malaybalay, Maapon, Bucal, Lakayat, Tignoan, Agos, Anibawan (Polilio Island), Upper Kibay, and Catabangan 
Batangas - Lian, Banabang-Molino, Pansipit, Kapumpong, Rosario-Lobo, Upper Bolbok, and Lawaya
Cavite - Laboc (Balsahan), Canas, Ilang-Ilang, and Imus 
Laguna - Sta. Maria, Pagsanjan, Pila-Sta. Cruz, San Juan, and San Cristobal
 
Region IV-B (MIMAROPA) - heavy to intense rains: 
 
Palawan - Abongan, Lian, Barabakan, Rizal, Caramay, Langonan, Babuyan, Bacungan, Iwahig, Penal, Inagauan, Aborlan, Malasgao Apurauan, Baton-Baton, Aramayawan, Iwahig, Panitian, Pulot, Lamakan, Kinlugan, Eraan, Tiga-Plan, Malabangan, Ilog, Bansang, Conduaga, Culasian, Iwahig (Brooks), Okayan, Canipan, and Busuanga (Coron)

Region XIII (CARAGA) - light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms:

Surigao del Sur - Cantillan, Toracan, Tandag, Tago, Hubo-Oteiza, Hinatuan, and Bisig 
Agusan del Norte - Lake-Mainit-Tubay, Asiga, Agusan, Linugos, and Cabadbaran 
Agusan del Sur - Ojot, Wawa, Libang, Maosam, Kasilan, Gibong, Adgaoan, Sinulao, Kayonan, Andanan
Dinagat Island - Malinao Inlet and Gaas Lulet 
 
PAGASA said in its 5 p.m. advisory that Ruby may bring heavy to torrential rainfall of 10 mm per hour to more than 30 mm per hour within its 500-km diameter.

The typhoon is now making its way to Sibuyan Island in Romblon where it is expected to make landfall between 2 to 4 a.m. on Monday. — Trisha Macas/JDS, GMA News
