1 killed, 4 wounded as oxygen tank explodes in Cebu

At least one person was killed while four were wounded after an oxygen tank exploded in an establishment in Barangay Baliwagan in Balamban town in Cebu province.

Killed in the explosion was the owner of the establishment, initially identified as Markel Pilapil, GMA News TV's "News TV Live" reported on Saturday.



One of the four workers injured in the incident, Angelo del Valle, said he heard a strange sound from the tank, and he adjusted the nozzle.

After a few seconds, the tank exploded.

The family of Pilapil declined to comment on the incident. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
