Fire in Bacolod City commercial center causes P20M in damage

A fire razed a three-story commercial building in downtown Bacolod City dawn Monday, destroying around P20 million in property.

Firefighters needed four hours to put out the fire, GMA Bacolod's Erwin Nicavera reported on GMA News TV's "Balita Pilipinas Ngayon."

A security guard noticed the fire at about 1 a.m. and asked police for assistance but firefighters had a hard time fighting the blaze, as the gates of the building were padlocked.
