Man arrested for molesting 3-year-old niece in Abra

 

A 28-year-old man now faces charges of child abuse for allegedly sexually molesting his three-year-old niece in Abra this week.

 

Relatives of the girl lodged a complaint with the police in Bangued town in Abra after she told them what happened, GMA Ilocos reported.

 

Initial investigation showed the suspect brought the girl to the mountains and then allegedly kissed her in the chest and private part.

 

"Nalaman ng lola niya na ikinu-kwento ng bata yung nagyari," said PO2 Rona Ancheta of the Bangued police's women and children's protection desk.

 

Police arrested the suspect, who denied molesting the girl but admitted kissing her.

 

"Kiniss ko lang naman," he said. But when asked why he kissed the girl's private part, he said, "yun lang naman ang ginawa ko." — Joel Locsin/VC, GMA News
