Heavy rain causes floods in parts of Davao City

Residents in several barangays of Davao City were evacuated from their homes early Tuesday after heavy rain caused floods in parts of the city.

The heavy rain fell particularly on Bunawan district in Davao City, GMA Davao's Julius Pacot reported.

Part of the highway was flooded while residents were forced to get out of their houses.

The report quoted residents as saying their neighborhood was flood-prone, especially in cases of continuous heavy rain.

Even the headquarters of Task Force Davao in the Lasang area was flooded. — Joel Locsin/VC, GMA News
