3rd escapee from Quezon province jail recaptured

A third inmate who escaped from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology detention facility in Quezon province last Tuesday was recaptured over the weekend.

The recaptured suspect was identified as Joel Senosil, who faces charges of frustrated murder, radio dzBB reported early Saturday.

Senosil was arrested at the boundary of Gumaca and Plaridel towns, the report said. With his arrest, five more remain at large.

An initial investigation showed the eight inmates escaped by sawing off the metal bars of a window and sneaking out.

They did so under cover of the noise made by a generator, as there was a power outage at the time.

The escape led to the relief of the warden. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
