Hundreds of families flee flash floods in Cagayan de Oro
Flash floods in Cagayan de Oro City on Sunday night had some residents leaving their homes for higher ground on Sunday night.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Monday that at least 36 families were affected by the flooding.

In its Monday report, the NDRRMC said the floods occurred around 7 p.m. due to "light to moderate and occasional heavy" rains brought by the inter-tropical convergence zone.
Responders from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council assisted the affected families, the NDRRMC said.
According to a report on "24 Oras" aired Monday night, hundreds of families near the Iponan River had to evacuate to a nearby elementary school because of the floods.
The floods also rendered some roads in the city impassable, the report said.
