Slain trader Richard King’s kin, friends cry for justice on last night of wake in Cebu

Relatives and friends of slain businessman Richard King on Tuesday evening cried for justice as they attended the last night of his wake in Cebu City.

Chinese traditions – including the practice of feng shui – were observed in preparing for King's burial, GMA Cebu reported on Wednesday.

Exclusive footage taken by GMA Cebu showed feng shui expert Peter Tan supervising the arrangements. King was to be buried at the Cebu Memorial Park.

Tan used a compass and measuring tape to make sure King's remains were aligned with the sun. The feng shui arrangements sought to get rid of negative energy and bring in good luck.

On Tuesday night, many of King's relatives and friends offered eulogies for King, who was gunned down in Davao City last June 12. Many of them cried out for justice.

King reportedly owns the Crown Regency Group of Hotels.

On Tuesday, a P1.3-million reward was offered in exchange for information leading to the arrest of the suspected killer of King.

Police in Davao City have released a computer-generated sketch of the suspected killer, GMA Davao reported on Tuesday.

The sketch was posted on the Facebook page of GMA Davao's "Una Ka Bai!"

The composite sketch, based on witnesses' accounts, described the gunman as medium-built, 5'5" tall, and 30 to 40 years old.

Also, the photo indicated hotlines that informants may use, including:

0925-823-3276
0912-664-8951
224-1313

While King's family initially offered P200,000 for information leading to the killer's arrest, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte added P300,000. — Joel Locsin/RSJ, GMA News
