Report: Fire destroys 50 hectares of mountain farmlands in Iloilo

At least 50 hectares of farmlands were reportedly damaged in a fire that hit Mount Upaw in Iloilo province Friday afternoon, a radio report said Saturday.

Bombo Radyo reported the fire started at 2 p.m. Friday, even as flames were still visible as of Friday night.

There was no initial report of injuries, but local residents expressed fears about their water supply.
