Two more areas in the Davao region were placed under a state of calamity due to bad weather conditions brought by a low-pressure area off Mindanao.

Officials of Davao del Norte and Davao Oriental cited the effects of floods and landslides since last weekend, radio dzBB's Davao affiliate Raul Tolibas reported Tuesday.

As this developed, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council has readied P33 million in emergency relief supplies for areas affected by the floods and landslides.

The NDRRMC has also spoken to local government officials on preparations for the bad weather conditions from the LPA, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported.

As of 12 a.m. Tuesday, the Philippine Coast Guard said at least 185 passengers were stranded in Bicol and Central Visayas due to bad weather conditions from the LPA.
