Floods caused by Labuyo force suspension of bus trips to Cagayan-Isabela area

Floods affecting roads and bridges in the Cagayan-Isabela area in Cagayan Valley on Monday forced at least one bus company to suspend their trips to the region.

Victory Liner Inc., in posts on its Twitter account, said it was forced to stop Cagayan-Isabela trips as the Sta. Fe detour road and Bambang Bridge are flooded.

It did not give a specific timetable on when the trips will resume, saying it has to wait for the floods to recede first.

Labuyo, which brought powerful winds and heavy rain, made landfall at 3 a.m. over Aurora province and started crossing northern Luzon.

It isolated parts of Aurora by knocking out communications and electricity there.

State weather forecasters said Labuyo has since weakened and is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility early Tuesday. — RSJ, GMA News
