Plane skids on Palawan runway, splits in two

A pilot sustained relatively minor bruises after a plane skidded off a runway in Roxas town in Palawan province Wednesday morning. The plane (RPC-6883) split in two while trying to land on the runway, according to a report by radio dzBB's Palawan affiliate. The pilot, initially identified as Capt. Enumerable from Metro Manila, suffered bruises from the incident, the report said. However, a separate report on Radyo Mo Nationwide said the incident occurred at about 8:45 a.m. while the place was taking off. It said the cargo plane was loaded with live fish and was heading for Metro Manila. The report said aviation authorities are now investigating the incident. — LBG, GMA News
