Partial, unofficial results: Who are the leading candidates in BARMM polls

The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) held its first parliamentary election on Monday, with 2.393 million registered voters.

The historic election will determine the members of the 80-seat Bangsamoro Parliament, which is composed of 40 party representatives, 32 district representatives, and eight sectoral representatives.

Based on the partial and unofficial results as of 9:59 p.m., with 99.35% of the election returns processed, the following registered political parties (RPPPs) have so far qualified for seats in the Bangsamoro Parliament.

• Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP) – 674,001 votes (35.5%)
• United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) – 610,272 votes (32.2%)
• BARMM Grand Coalition (BGC) – 387,677 votes (20.4%)
• Raayat Democratic Party-Bangsamoro People's Democratic Party – 68,133 votes (3.6%)

The four parties account for 38 of the 40 party-representation seats. BFP and UBJP are each expected to get one additional seat.

In the same partial and unofficial election results, here are the leading candidates for the sectoral seats:

Settler communities (2 seats):

• OLAYA, YUL ADELFO (UBJP) – 748,280 votes
• ARNADO, MARY ANN – 689,090 votes

Women (1 seat):

• SILONGAN, AIDA (UBJP) – 723,570 votes

Youth (1 seat):

• ABBAS, SULFFY (UBJP) – 648,012 votes

Ulama (1 seat):

• EBIL, MUHAMMAD NADZIR (UBJP) – 676,013 votes

Traditional leaders (1 seat):

• MACASALONG, MARJANIE (UBJP) – 713,653 votes

The non-Moro Indigenous Peoples selected their two representatives to the Bangsamoro Parliament in August.

They are Jo Genna Jover of the Teduray Indigenous Peoples and Leticio Datuwata of the Lambangian Indigenous Peoples.
