Sara Duterte preferred presidential candidate for May 2028 polls —Pulse Asia
The majority of Filipinos would most likely vote for Vice President Sara Duterte in the May 2028 elections, results of a Pulse Asia survey released Wednesday showed.
In a survey conducted from June 28 to July 3 and 6, Pulse Asia asked respondents who they would vote for if the presidency is contested by six possible candidates.
Forty-nine percent chose Duterte while 26% picked Naga City Mayor and former Vice President Leni Robredo.
Senator Raffy Tulfo got 14%; Department of Public Works and Highways DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon, 1%; Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, 1%; and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Nicolas Torre III, 0.1%.
Most of those who support Duterte were from Visayas (53%), Mindanao (87%), and Class E (59%).

Four percent of the respondents are undecided about their choice for president in the May 2028 elections while 4% are not inclined to support any of the possible candidates for the post, and 1% refuse to state an opinion on the matter.
Duterte was also the preferred presidential candidate in five alternative scenarios, involving two other names, presented to respondents by Pulse Asia.

Meanwhile, 27% chose Senator Bong Go as their vice presidential candidate if the elections were held during the survey period.
Senator Robin Padilla received 21%; Senator Bam Aquino, 14%; former senator Grace Poe, 14%; Senator Erwin Tulfo, 9%; Senator Francis Pangilinan, 4%; and MMDA General Manager Torre, 0.5%.
Pulse Asia said disinclination to elect any vice presidential bet is expressed by 5% of Filipino adults while 3% are undecided on the matter and 1% refuse to identify their preferred candidate for the post.
The survey also showed that 89% of Filipinos are interested in the May 2028 polls.
A total of 2,400 adults were interviewed face-to-face for the survey. It has a ±2% error margin at the 95% confidence level. Subnational estimates for the geographic areas covered in the survey have the following error margins at 95% confidence level: ±4% for Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. —AOL, GMA News
