San Beda Alabang named national headquarters for 2026 Bar Exams

The Supreme Court (SC) has designated San Beda College Alabang (SBCA) in Muntinlupa City as the national headquarters for the 2026 Bar Examinations, the high court announced on Thursday.

According to the SC, SBCA will serve as the Court's central command for the nationwide administration of the Bar Examinations on September 6, 9, and 13.

This marks the third time SBCA has been designated as the national headquarters for the Bar Examinations.

"The National Headquarters is more than just a venue. It is the Court's promise to the nation that the 2026 Bar Examinations will be administered with the full measure of its institutional will, its vigilance, and its care," Bar Chairperson Associate Justice Samuel Gaerlan said in a statement.

"It is a promise made not only to those who will sit for the examinations, but to every Filipino who trusts the Court to uphold the standards of the legal profession—a promise in which San Beda College Alabang is now a vital part," he added.

SBCA's designation was formalized through a contract signed on July 10 at the SC En Banc Session Hall.

The 2026 Bar Examinations will be conducted in 15 testing centers nationwide, with seven located in the National Capital Region (NCR), three in Luzon, three in the Visayas, and two in Mindanao.

The testing centers in the NCR are:

* San Beda College Alabang, Muntinlupa City
* Ateneo de Manila University School of Law, Makati City
* Manila Adventist College, Pasay City
* New Era University, Quezon City
* San Beda University, Manila
* University of Santo Tomas, Manila
* University of the Philippines Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City

The testing centers in Luzon are:

* Cagayan State University, Tuguegarao City
* Saint Louis University, Baguio City
* University of Nueva Caceres, Naga City

The testing centers in the Visayas are:

* Central Philippine University, Iloilo City
* Dr. V. Orestes Romualdez Educational Foundation, Tacloban City
* University of San Jose-Recoletos, Cebu City

The testing centers in Mindanao are:

* Ateneo de Davao University, Davao City
* Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology, Iligan City

The SC said 14,291 applicants have registered for the 2026 Bar Examinations, the highest number in the history of the Bar Exams. —VBL, GMA News
