Marcos departs for Singapore on official visit
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. departed for Singapore on Tuesday afternoon for an official visit, Malacañang said.
The president departed at 5:27 p.m. along with other government officials.
Earlier, the Palace said Marcos is set to pay a courtesy call on Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
The two leaders are expected to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, healthcare, and the environment.
They will also exchange views on regional and global developments and reaffirm their commitment to ASEAN centrality and regional stability.
During the visit, Marcos is also scheduled to meet with business leaders and investors at the Milken Institute Private Roundtable Discussion.
Meanwhile, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos is set to deliver a message at the Global Economic Cooperation East Summit. — MCG, GMA News
